Welcome to RedPoint9

Over the last couple of years we've shipped a bunch of small web apps under different domains: a barcode check-digit tool, a Bananagrams clone, an emoji encyclopedia, a schema.org reference, a few others. They were never really tied together. This portal is where we do that.

Why a portal?

Each site does one thing and lives on its own domain. We like it that way: open it, use it, close it. But there was nowhere to say "here's everything we've made", nowhere to post updates, nowhere to explain how any of it is built. So, redpoint9.com.

What we build

We're a small team in Sweden. The tools are the kind of things we wished existed and couldn't find: barcode validation that scales to millions, a code formatter that explains what it's doing in plain English, a schema.org reference with hand-authored JSON-LD examples, a suite of 30+ text and data tools, a daily log without the bloat, emoji search in 200+ languages, favicons made from emoji. The games are the ones we wanted to play ourselves: a Bananagrams clone with real-time multiplayer, a Wikipedia bluffing game where you have to tell the real summary from the AI-written fake, AI quizzes on any topic you can think of, a chronology card game with 2,000+ events.

Most of it is free. Almost none of it needs an account. The full list with screenshots and descriptions lives under tools and games.

What's next

This blog is where product updates will land when we ship things, along with the occasional note on how any of it is built.
